Analytical Solutions, Inc. (ASI) has entered into a new business partnership with Dr. Vijendra Nalamothu, expanding its capabilities to include topical drug product development, from concept to commercialization. ASI now provides all CMC related lab and consulting services for topicals, transdermals and specialty dosage forms to the pharmaceutical industry. Offerings include: topical product development, complete analytical services, drug diffusion/release studies, CMC/clinical/regulatory strategy development, and management of client’s outsourced projects to CROs and contract manufacturers. Additionally, clinical manufacturing/labeling and skin permeation services will be available soon. Work is conducted in compliance with FDA GLP and cGMP regulations.

“We are very pleased to announce this new venture with Vijendra,” said Dr. Kailas Thakker, president of ASI. “As our new executive vice president and chief operating officer, he brings a wealth of experience in topical product development, and has managed numerous projects from concept to commercialization.”

Dr. Nalamothu joins the company from Promius Pharma, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dr. Reddy’s Labs, Inc., where he served as head of R&D and was responsible for all of Dr. Reddy’s global dermatological efforts. Prior to Dr. Reddy’s, he was the worldwide head of the Preclinical and Early Formulation group at Sanofi-aventis Dermatology.
