Chris Gowland has been named to the newly formed position of chief operating officer at Aesica. In this role, he will have overall responsibility for operating strategy and lead international operational delivery.
Mr. Gowland will be responsible for setting operational standards and driving continuous improvement across the company’s manufacturing capabilities in API and formulated products. Steve Barker and Jarrett Palmer, operations directors for Aesica's API and Formulated Products business units respectively, will report directly to Mr. Gowland, who is currently responsible for operational performance and general management of all Aesica manufacturing sites, including Queenborough and Cramlington in the UK, Monheim and Zwickau in Germany and Pianezza in Italy.
The new role also encompasses the management of capital expenditure, procurement of materials and services, managing the supply chain and overseeing capacity expansion across Aesica.
