Joe Luke, vice president of sales and marketing at Reed-Lane, has been named a member of the Healthcare Compliance Packaging Council’s (HCPC) board of directors. HCPC is a not-for-profit trade association established in 1990 to promote the benefits of unit-dose packaging, including compliance-prompting features to help patients adhere to medications properly.
Mr. Luke is a pharmaceutical packaging industry veteran who has been with Reed-Lane for the past six years. Mr. Luke leads the company’s sales and marketing team and has been instrumental in preparing the company for future serialization standards, as well as compliance packaging.
Reed-Lane’s main areas of focus are blister packaging, bottling, pouching and convenience vial filling, for which compliance packaging is a high priority. The company produces pharmaceutical blister and wallet packages containing calendar features to increase user adherence to proper usage.
“Over the last several years, Reed-Lane has made a concerted effort to expand and hone our capabilities in all areas including the compliance packaging sector, which continues to be among the industry’s fastest-growing specialties,” said Patricia Elvin, president of Reed-Lane. “Joe has been at the forefront of these efforts from their inception, and will make a valuable addition to the board of directors of the HCPC, whom we at Reed-Lane thank for this exciting opportunity.”
