Withey to implement U.S. expansion plans

Dr. Fiona Withey has been appointed chief executive officer of Biotec Services International (BSI). Dr. Withey will be responsible for initiating Biotec’s international development plan, which includes expanding its U.S. operation, continuing to develop its client base internationally, and to build on its position in the temperature controlled pharmaceutical services sector. Dr. Withey replaces Keren Winmill, who will now serve as non-executive director and advisory board chair.
Dr. Withey joined the company’s business development team in 2007 and spent 12 years working in the pharma outsourcing sector. In 2008, Dr. Withey was appointed to the board of directors as business development director. She also played an instrumental role in the company’s management buyout in 2010 and has since served as operations director.
Keren Winmill remarked, “Fiona has a trusted reputation across the pharmaceutical industry. She will ensure the company continues to bring a combination of client focus, operational discipline and strong leadership to the team, I am very proud of everything that the team has accomplished during the past four years and I very much look forward to working with Fiona and the team on the next stage.”
BSI, headquartered in South Wales, UK, provides services for the packaging, distribution, transport and storage of temperature controlled pharmaceutical products in more than 60 countries.
