Monica Vegarra has been appointed director of Toxicology Support Services at SNBL USA, joining the executive team. Ms. Vegarra will assume leadership for the husbandry, specimen management and specimen shipping teams, drive strategic plans, policies, and procedures while ensuring the quality and integrity of data generated.
Ms. Vegarra is a toxicology management professional with more than 26 years of experience in the preclinical contract research industry, including 10 years as a study director. Prior to joining the company, she held various positions including principal toxicologist at Smithers Avanza, director of vivarium operations at Bridge Laboratories, and study director at Covance Laboratories.
“We are fortunate to have Monica on board as this role represents our commitment in strengthening SNBL USA as a leading, innovative preclinical CRO while maintaining continuous regulatory compliance across the board,” said Steve Glaza, SNBL USA chief operating officer. “Monica’s extensive background in program and project oversight, experience with different test systems, and expertise in GLP study facilitation make her an ideal leader to help us launch and leverage quality improvement initiatives in the toxicology services we provide to our clients.”
