Rondo-Pak, a provider of folding cartons and printed components for the pharmaceutical, medical device and consumer industries, has enhanced capabilities at its Puerto Rico manufacturing facility with the addition of a high-speed Heidelberg packaging press. The installation increases speed, expands capacity and broadens the range of products that can be manufactured on the island.
The press adds capabilities in Puerto Rico for pharmaceutical manufacturers. As part of the Körber Medipak Systems network, Rondo-Pak works with all of the KMS companies (Dividella, Mediseal, Seidenader and Werum IT Solutions) to optimize packaging line performance with engineered packaging component materials.
“The expansion of our Puerto Rico facility is only one part of our $30-million-dollar investment in technology, equipment and personnel across our network of facilities,” said Victor Dixon, president and chief operating officer of Rondo-Pak. “This investment also includes our new facility in Camden, New Jersey that will feature new print and packaging technologies and provide additional capacity and backup for our Norristown, Pennsylvania and San Juan, Puerto Rico facilities.”
