We seek a Director, Global Business Development (licensing and acquisitions) to lead cross-functional teams performing highly detailed analysis of potential targets, formulating the business case and presenting to Senior Management secure agreement and funding. The individual selected will evaluate and recommend growth initiatives, market opportunities, alliances, technology advancements and acquisitions to support Hospira's growth strategy. Manage due diligence efforts and contract negotiations.
A key aspect of this position is the ability to manage numerous aspects of projects including business "fit" analysis, financial analysis, potential regulatory (FDA, etc.) impact, contracts, negotiations, intellectual property and other issues.
Position will support and execute Global deals, working with regional counterparts yhroughout the world.
Must have Master's degree in Business Administration and 5 years work experience in global business development in pharmaceutical or other healthcare related industry. Also must have work experience in: scientific research, engineering, or business experience in pharmaceutical or other healthcare-related industry; leading projects in the areas of acquisitions, divestures, licensing, distribution agreements, and supply agreements; business development in both injectable pharmaceutical drug and medical device markets; and managing projects and managing global, cross-functional teams (internal and external) to process deals.
