At CPhI North America, Ajinomoto Althea (formerly Althea) detailed the benefits provided to them after Ajinomoto acquired the company five years ago. A massive amount of funding has been provided for expansion projects and upgrades, with a total dollar amount exceeding $100 million.
Most notably, David Linn, Director of Business Development says that part of the funding provided a new vial fill finish line that is being installed at their San Diego campus. In addition to that, the company announced the opening of a high potency ADC facility, also in San Diego, which is expected to be up and running in 2019.
