Sika to Present at Interphex

Will address surface selection criteria to meet rigorous pharmaceutical production standards

Sika Corporation USA will deliver a Technical Conference presentation to address ways that life sciences companies can assert greater control over the design, construction, maintenance and cost of existing and new facilities.
The session will be held on Technical Conference Stage 5, Booth 1677 from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on April 17.
Jim Hendley, Life Sciences Vertical Market Manager, Sika Corp. USA will dive into surface selection criteria to design a pharmaceutical production area. Mr. Hendley will explore critical ambient conditions, usage specification and lifecycle expectations that architects, designers and managers of pharmaceutical facilities must consider in the early planning stages. These considerations include threats posed by moisture migration from the concrete substrate, caustic cleaning solutions, heavy foot and machinery traffic, and particle contamination and collection in seams and abrasions. All of these factors must be addressed to ensure high-level performance of flooring or full-envelope systems, to prevent unplanned shut downs due to system failure and poor inspections.
