Pharmaceutical Development Services Ltd. (PDS) is expanding its team of associates to meet industry's growing demand for API auditing capability. New PDS associates Paul Butler and Martin Slade have extensive CVs with particular expertise in API auditing in Europe, India and China, making them a valuable resource to companies seeking low cost, high quality API suppliers, according to a PDS statement.
PDS managing director Michael Gamlen said, “Having Martin and Paul available to add to the PDS body of expertise represents a considerable opportunity and I had no hesitation in bringing them onto the team. We are finding that API is a very hot topic at the moment. Some pharmaceutical sourcing, particularly from Asia, is proving of variable quality, leading to increased regulatory scrutiny. API Supplier Auditing is a key element of the international effort to maintain pharmaceutical supply chain integrity and avoid problems with counterfeit products and adulterated APIs. These appointments will consolidate PDS’ capability to offer comprehensive services to its growing number of US-based clients looking to benefit from services and product opportunities on a world wide basis.”
The company plans several more hires in this area in the immediate future.
