Almac Pharma Services has completed a client-sponsored capital investment of $3 million at its commercial facilities in Craigavon, Northern Ireland. The new facility, at approximately 5,500 sq. ft., includes dispensing and blending suites to accommodate 2.5 ton batches, coupled to a sachet filling and packaging line. Supporting storage and wash areas complete the new facility.
Geoff Sloan, vice president Manufacturing Operations of Almac Pharma Services, said, "This investment has allowed our client to quickly meet growing demand for one of their key future products. Utilizing Almac's technical and project management expertise to deliver a complex engineering solution to an aggressive project timeline will assist our client in securing the market for this strongly performing product."
Annual output will be in excess of 120 million sachets, split across various packed formats, according to an Almac statement.
