Elena Logan has been appointed senior vice president of global central labs at PPD, Inc. Ms. Logan will provide strategic direction for the company's global central lab operations, located across three continents.

"Elena Logan brings strong leadership and operational expertise to PPD gained through her 24-year tenure in the pharmaceutical and contract research industries," said Lee Babiss, Ph.D., executive vice president of global laboratory services at PPD. "Her track record of prior success will benefit PPD in advancing its strategy to deliver superior global central laboratory services for our clients."

Ms. Logan most recently served as divisional vice president at ACM Global Central Laboratory, where she led sales and operations and was a member of the executive management committee. Prior to joining ACM, she held senior business development positions with Premier Research and another large CRO. She was also a development scientist in quality assurance and senior clinical scientist in the cardiovascular program at Bristol-Myers Squibb.
