Shri Narendra Modi, Honorable chief minister of Gujarat, has formally inaugurated Jubilant Life Sciences Ltd.’s new Special Economic Zone (SEZ) spread over 300 acres in Vilayat Industrial Estate, District Bharuch, Gujarat, with an investment of more than 500 crores, pursuant to a Memorandum of Understanding with the government of Gujarat.
 
The SEZ plants produces vitamin B3 and 3-Cyanopyridine on a global scale, and is the largest producer of B3 in India. The company is also setting up a manufacturing plant at SEZ for Symtet, a crop science ingredient.

Shyam S. Bhartia, chairman and managing director, and Hari S. Bhartia, co-chairman and managing director, said, “We are setting up global-size world-class manufacturing facilities in Gujarat to fulfill our vision of leadership position in chosen areas of business. Gujarat being the natural choice to set up this facility, we are thankful to the State Government, under the leadership of the Honorable chief minister, for their constant encouragement, guidance and support. The facilities are fully integrated, starting from the basic feedstock to environment friendly finished products, and will also have a positive social and economic impact through building up local capabilities and providing employment opportunities.”
