Martin LeBlanc has been appointed to Cytovance Biologics’ board of directors. Mr. LeBlanc is the president and chief executive officer of Caprion Proteomics, Inc. of Montreal, QC.
“We welcome Martin as our newest board member and look forward to his contributions as an experienced corporate growth leader,” said Darren Head, president and chief executive officer of Cytovance Biologics. “Martin’s more than 20 years of leadership experience and insight in life sciences complements the Cytovance mission of providing integral pathways of converting today's novel protein discoveries into future life saving therapies.”
Mr. LeBlanc is co-founder of Caprion and led the development of its proteomics technology and its growing drug discovery and personalized medicine services business. He began his career as a management consultant with McKinsey & Co., then as a biotech entrepreneur at Advanced Bioconcept, where initially he served as vice president of sales and marketing and then as general manager following the company’s acquisition by NEN Life Sciences (now part of Perkin-Elmer).
Mr. LeBlanc is currently a member of the Governing Council of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, and of the board of directors of Victhom Human Bionics, Soricimed BioPharma, Montreal In-Vivo, and the Atlantic Cancer Research Institute.
