Covance plans to expand its Greenfield, IN laboratory site, adding 465 jobs in a $150 million expansion, according to an AP report. The expansion is slated to begin this year and will take four years. Covance has filed for state and local incentives as part of the expansion. A county council will listen to the local request at a hearing in mid-July.

The Greenfield site was part of an asset-transfer deal between Lilly and Covance in 2008, and included a 10-year services pact. Covance plans to build a new laboratory, renovate existing buildings and improve infrastructure. The company presently has 565 employees at the site.
