Dr. Mariana Kuras has been appointed chief technology officer at Ariana Pharma. Dr. Kuras has eight years of experience, having served as director of research at Biosystems International, where she was responsible for the development and validation of biomarker platform technologies in multi-million projects. These technologies included the application of antibodies to various diseases, including oncology and neurodegenerative diseases.
 
Dr. Kuras and her team contributed to the development of thousands of antibodies used on microarrays and to the patenting and publication of biomarker signatures and paving their route to market. She also served as a genomics and bioinformatics scientist at Pfizer Global R&D, Fresnes, France.
