Marken has completed the first phase of its plan to create a global pharmaceutical network with two new depots in Frankfurt, Germany and Farmingdale, NY. These two central depots join existing operations in Singapore, Mexico, and Argentina.

“Today marks an important milestone for Marken. Having these two new central depots allows us to serve our clients with global distribution services and, more importantly, to serve our clients who seek comprehensive and efficient global distribution. Phase One is complete; we are now pushing forward with Phase Two, which will include more depots in key countries around the world such as China, Brazil and Russia,” said Gerit Offenhauser, Marken’s senior vice president, Clinical Trials Distribution.

The depots provide temperature-controlled storage and distribution for drugs, medical devices and diagnostic equipment and are located near existing branch operations that offer customer service, operations import /export and administrative support. They are connected through the Solo platform, a 21 CFR part 11 validated, cloud-based inventory management system that interfaces with IRT for inventory reconciliation.
