Sarno responsible for Pfēnex Technology partners

Kristi Sarno has been appointed director of business development at Pfenex, Inc. Ms. Sarno will be responsible for seeking engineering and licensing opportunities for Pfenex Expression Technology with small to mid-size biotechnology companies, developing business with several large pharmaceutical accounts, and seeking government opportunities. She will be based in the greater Boston area.
 
Ms. Sarno most recently served as director of business development at Laureate Biopharma, where she was responsible for securing contract manufacturing contracts from a broad range of clients. Prior to Laureate, she was the associate director of business development for Crucell Holland, where she managed the Strategic Alliance Group, providing both technical and contractual support for licensees. 
 
“We are thrilled to have Kristi join the Pfenex team,” said Patrick Lucy, vice president of business development and marketing, “Kristi brings 16 years of experience within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets, and will be a key contributor to our business development efforts.”
