The warehouse expansion makes room fo r an expected increase in overall production, as the company also put the finishing touches on its fifth bottling Line. Reed – Lane has four main specialties within the pharmaceutical contract packaging industry: blister packaging, bottling, pouching and convenience vial filling.

Among the nine premium machines in the new bottling line is an MPS 48 – 16 S lat F iller from Modular Packa ging systems . Utilizing the economy of just 48 slats, t he machine’s independently – driven top brush combines with a powerful vibrator to provide enough control and agitation to fill each cavity slat 100%. Product falls into 16 divided chutes , where it is f ed into a custom funnel, then straight to the opening of the awaiting 16 bottles. The 48 – 16 is equipped with dual dust extraction points to eliminate excessive dust buildup from within the product hopper area.
