ACM Global Central Laboratory has opened its recently acquired Shanghai lab facility, gained through its acquisition of Phoenix Pharma Central Services (Phoenix PCS), a central lab provider for Asia-Pacific clinical trials. The Phoenix PCS lab allows ACM Global to support clinical trials throughout Shanghai and the Asia-Pacific region with greater speed and efficiency.

ACM Shanghai’s 10,000 sq.-ft. purpose-designed lab facility houses instruments and equipment identical to ACM’s U.S. and UK labs, and provides a range safety and specialty testing, including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, and immunology testing.

“The opening of our wholly-owned Shanghai lab facility follows the successful launch of ACM Singapore in June, further extending ACM Global’s network of operating labs in an increasingly important region for clinical research,” said Jerry Boxall, managing director, ACM Europe and Asia. “We are thrilled to operate the new Shanghai and Singapore facilities in parallel to our locations in the United States, United Kingdom and India, providing the same robust capabilities and standards in scientific expertise. By seamlessly integrating operations of both new and existing facilities, we’ve established a network of harmonized laboratories producing a single database of test data for all global projects.”

Dr. Lee Chiew Yan, who joined ACM Global from Phoenix PCS as director, Singapore and China Operations, will oversee both the ACM Shanghai and Singapore facilities. Dr. Yan brings more than 20 years of experience in central lab operations in the Asia-Pacific region.
