Angela Blume, CQA, quality assurance manager at Coldstream Laboratories, has been selected to be an Examiner for the Kentucky Center for Performance Excellence (KYCPE). The KYCPE is a volunteer organization dedicated to helping Kentucky companies achieve performance excellence.

Additionally, Carolyn Hunter and Debra Anglin, both senior quality assurance specialists at Coldstream, have obtained Certified Quality Auditor certifications from The American Society for Quality (ASQ). The certification ensures that the quality auditor understands the standards and principles of auditing and the techniques of examining, questioning, evaluating and reporting to determine a quality system’s adequacy and deficiencies.

Mick Miller, a quality assurance specialist at Coldstream, has obtained a Certified Quality Process Analyst (CQPA) certification from the ASQ. The CQPA is a paraprofessional who, under the direction of quality engineers or supervisors, analyzes and solves quality problems and is involved in quality improvement projects.

“We are proud of the drive demonstrated by all of our employees and the commitment these significant accomplishments demonstrate by our Quality Assurance team,” said Eric Smart, president and chief executive officer of Coldstream. “Coldstream is committed to uncompromising quality in parenteral development and manufacturing, and the experience represented by these certifications will play an important role in Coldstream’s growth plans.”
