Pharma Medica Research, Inc., a Toronto-based CRO, plans to invest $30.8 million at its first U.S. facility in St. Charles, MO, creating 320 jobs. The company offers a range of services including scientific affairs, medical writing, clinical trials, bioanalysis, biostastics, data management, and clinical trial monitoring. The company plans to remodel a building that previously housed a CRO to expand its drug trial operations.

“The favorable business climate, quality workforce, and the close proximity to major pharmaceutical companies in the area were key factors in making the move to Missouri,” said Mohammed Bouhajib of Pharma Medica Research. “With a new research center in St. Charles, we will be able to accommodate more clients and compete in the global market.”

Missouri is home to more than 4,000 bioscience, agribusiness and life science companies. To assist with its growth plans, Pharma Medica Research has been offered a strategic economic incentive package from the state, assuming it meets strict requirements.
