Mark Archer has been appointed senior vice president of European Operations and Development for inVentiv Health Commercial, which provides sales, marketing, communications and patient outcome services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and life sciences companies.

Mr. Archer will lead the company’s efforts to broaden commercial operations in Europe and identify and support new business opportunities in the region. He will be based in London and will work closely with inVentiv Health Communications/Europe.

Mr. Archer has more than 24 years of experience in biopharmaceutical commercialization. Prior to joining the company, he served as vice president of Global Business Development at Quintiles. In addition, he held several executive positions at Sanofi-Aventis in Europe, including vice president of Alliance Management. Mr. Archer also served in marketing and sales positions at Roche and Merck in the UK.
