LZ Lifescience, a software manufacturer, has launched a Lifescience edition of its Shopfloor-Online product to the global pharmaceutical industry to meet Manufacturing Execution System (MES) requirements of the outsourcing sector. Shopfloor-Online is an established, web-based product that is used by customers in different sectors globally.
 
The online production management system, designed specifically for pharma companies and contract manufacturers, focuses on plant operations and flow of materials, managing scheduling, production execution, workflow, quality and inventory to help improve efficiency, reduce the risk and meet current regulations.
 
To head the global launch, LZ Lifescience has appointed Christian Fortunel, an experienced U.S.-based MES executive, as vice president to run its operations in the U.S.
