Almac Clinical Technologies, a member of the Almac Group, has launched a standardized integration between its Interactive Response Technology (IRT) platform – IXRS 3 and Exostar’s Identity and Access Management Platform.
 
The two companies entered a pilot partnership in December 2016 to demonstrate a proof-of-concept for eClinical application users to leverage Exostar’s Single Sign-On (SSO) expediency and enhanced security.  
 
This latest technology enables users of Almac’s Interactive Response Technology (IRT) to use Exostar’s credentialing, federation, and web-based Single Sign-On (SSO) capabilities to securely log in to Almac’s IXRS 3 with credentials provided to each user by any member of the Exostar Life Sciences Community, which includes Trial Sponsors, CROs, cloud application providers, and others.
 
The collaboration also provides upgraded identity management capabilities within IXRS 3 created as a result of the integration, eliminating a major burden on trial sites, and enabling them to focus more time and energy on patient care.
