Catalent Pharma Solutions has appointed Kay Schmidt as senior vice president, technical operations. Reporting to Alessandro Maselli, who earlier this month was named Catalent’s new president and chief operating officer, Ms. Schmidt and the technical operations organization are tasked with continuously improving the company’s project management efforts, including new product launches, technical transfers, engineering projects, and customer engagements, as well as managing Catalent’s environmental, health, security, and safety processes.
