Heather Sugrue has been appointed head of business development, North America, at Recro Pharma, Inc., a provider of solid oral dose manufacturing services for the pharma industry.
 
Ms. Sugrue leads Recro’s North American business development executive team, driving new business and strengthening existing client relationships within the global pharmaceutical market. Conducting competitive intelligence to understand clients’ strategic objectives, she also functions as a liaison between clients and Recro’s internal teams, establishing a culture of cooperation and best practice sharing.
 
Previously, Ms. Sugrue spent five years as senior director of business development at Patheon, where she led the West Coast business development team across multiple business units, achieving consistent year-over-year growth. She also served as senior director of business development at Ricerca Biosciences and MDS Pharma Services. She has more than a decade of experience as an account manager at PerkinElmer, Invitrogen and Bio-Rad Laboratories.
