AGC Chemicals Americas will feature advanced intermediates-fluorinated molecules that serve as building blocks for pharmaceutical products-at the CPhI North America Exhibition at booth 200. AGC also will showcase its lines of fine micro-spherical silica gels for use in cosmetics, personal care, catalyst supports and specialty applications.

AGC’s extensive experience working with fluorine, chlorine and iodine chemistries enable it to produce many hard-to-synthesize molecules in commercial scale. AGC also provides contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) services for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical developers under Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) conditions.

Features of AGC’s intermediates and ingredients for pharmaceuticals include:

• Variety of fluorinated building blocks and fluorination technologies;
• Handling of HF and F2 gas directly;
• cGMP facility and API manufacturing;
• Ultra-low temperature reactions (-100 °C);
• High-quality C3 compounds (amines, alcohols, chlorides, etc.); and
• Metallocene co-catalysts.
