Incyte Taps Soni Basi as EVP and Chief Human Resources Officer

Basi will serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and be responsible for shaping the Company’s global human resources strategy.

Incyte has appointed Soni Basi as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) effective August 25, 2025. In her new role, Basi will serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and be responsible for shaping the Company’s global human resources strategy, including talent acquisition, organizational design and professional development.

Basi succeeds Paula Swain, Incyte’s former Executive Vice President and Head of Human Resources, following her retirement.

Soni will play a key role in attracting, developing and retaining top talent at Incyte and preparing the organization for the next phase of growth.”

Experience

Basi boasts over 25 years of experience in global HR and business leadership, leading high-performing HR teams and managing organizational transformation. Before joining Incyte, she was CHRO at Edelman where she oversaw a team of 200+ HR professionals. Previously, she held leadership roles in global talent at AIG, Allergan Pharmaceuticals, The Estée Lauder Companies and Schering-Plough.

Basi earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Bowling Green State University.
