Advarra Expands Study Collaboration Technology

New site-centered technology aims to improve study startup.

Advarra, a provider of clinical research technology, expanded its Study Collaboration, a study startup technology designed to improve coordination between all clinical trial stakeholders. The expansion introduces guided site journeys, a new site-facing milestone tracker to help empower research sites to manage study startup responsibilities alongside sponsors and CROs. It provides a unified and real-time view of study activation progress to help improve operational efficiency and reduce delays.

Study Collaboration’s recent integration with Advarra’s electronic institutional review board (eIRB) system, Center for IRB Intelligence (CIRBI), helps to enhance its sponsor- and CRO-facing milestone tracking. The guided site journeys tracker aims to accelerate clinical trial activation through better collaboration tools for stakeholders. It incorporates direct input from research sites throughout the design and testing phases.

“Too often, study startup is hampered by fragmented systems and poor communication—leaving sponsors, CROs, and sites juggling emails, spreadsheets, and status calls to stay on the same page,” said Ashley Davidson, VP, product lead of sponsor tech strategy at Advarra. “Advarra’s latest release of Study Collaboration solves this challenge with the market’s only site-facing milestone tracker aligned to the sponsor and CRO view, bringing all research team members into a single, coordinated workflow.”
