The Almac Group appointed Ramees Raja Global Energy Manager. Global Energy Manager is a new role that the company said will drive actions to support Almac’s commitment to be net zero by 2045 and to reduce the Group’s Scope one and Scope two emissions by 50 percent, by 2030.

Raja will work closely with Almac Group’s corporate social responsibility and procurement teams to develop business improvement initiatives across the globe. These initiatives will include the use of solar panels across various Almac buildings, participation in power purchase agreements, moving away from the use of natural gas and the continued roll-out of our energy management standard ISO5001 across all operational Almac sites.

Raja has more than 12 years’ experience working with a range of organizations, including Ameeri Industries and Iqonomic.  He joins Almac from Muntons where he was Group Energy Manager, responsible for group’s energy management and renewable energy projects.
