Accenture has signed an eight-year outsourcing agreement with Astellas Pharma to deliver application development and maintenance services. Accenture will standardize Astellas’ core business systems, such as accounting, production management, purchasing and supply chain management in its Japan, North America and European regions. Astellas will work with Accenture to standardize its global IT operations with the goal of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of its IT function and driving innovation in its global business model.
