Srini Jayaraman, Ph.D., has been named Principal Investigator Discovery, Bioanalytical Systems, Inc., and Braden M. Kemmerling D.V.M. was named attending veterinarian Preclinical Services.
 
Dr. Jayaraman, based in West Lafayette, IN, will lead discovery efforts, with responsibility for running studies in BASi’s vivarium using the Culex^®in vivo sampling system. Dr. Jayaraman previously served as senior and associate principal scientist, In Vivo Pharmacology at Merck, where he led preclinical neurochemistry efforts since 2011. He also served as senior scientist, Pharmacology at Schering Plough, and worked as a scientific officer and project assistant in Pharmacology for various research and testing facilities based in India.
 
Dr. Kemmerling, based at BASi’s site near Evansville, IN, will be responsible for heading up the expanded veterinary department, including surgical support. Prior to joining BASi, Dr. Kemmerling had been in private practice since 2012. From 2005 to 2007, he worked as a veterinary assistant at the BASi GLP Preclinical Toxicology facility.
