Catalent Pharma Solutions began a major expansion of its controlled release drug manufacturing facility in Winchester, KY. The company is investing nearly $35 million to add 80,000 sq.-ft. of manufacturing space, and as many as 90 new employees. Catalent expects to complete the expansion by October 2014.
 
Catalent’s Winchester facility opened in 1992 and provides oral controlled-release drug formulation and manufacturing, and has launched more than 100 products for customers.
