Chemic Laboratories (Booth 1460) and Chemical Solutions, after working together for more than five years, have formed a two-year renewable joint cooperation agreement that will enable the two firms to collaborate on a variety of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical client interests, primarily in the areas of product development as it pertains to extractables and leachables single-use systems (SUS), pharmaceutical delivery devices and container closure systems.

“Chemic is delighted to expand our working relationship into a formal agreement,” said Joseph St. Laurent, president and chief science officer, Chemic Laboratories. “Chemical Solutions is an established expert in the field of elemental analysis via ICP-MS and is poised to become a leader in the E/L space. This joint agreement allows our two companies to immediately leverage our particular analytical expertise to support our clients growing demand for expert services.”

“By combining Chemic’s experience within the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries, along with our expertise in trace elemental analysis for the pharmaceutical industry, both Chemic and we are able to offer our respective clients full service analyses for their E&L testing needs,” said Brian LaBine, president, Chemical Solutions.

The cooperation model between the two companies will consist of each company offering each other’s services and direct access to the technical subject matter experts. Chemic and Chemical Solutions will utilize well established and developed chromatographic and spectroscopic analytics to provide extractable and leachable data assessing material compatibility and suitability for pharmaceutical use.
