Emergent Adds Two Senior Leaders

Coleen Glessner named EVP of Quality and Compliance and Bill Hartzel named SVP of CDMO business.

Emergent is adding two senior leaders to its Quality and Compliance and Contract Development & Manufacturing (CDMO) organizations. 
 
Effective April 1, Coleen Glessner will join Emergent as Executive Vice President with enterprise responsibility for the Global Quality and Ethics and Compliance functions reporting directly to the CEO, Robert Kramer. Glessner joins the company from Alexion Pharmaceuticals where she served as Senior Vice President and Chief Quality Officer.
 
Bill Hartzel is joining Emergent as Senior Vice President for CDMO effective March 14. Hartzel will lead Emergent’s CDMO business, reporting to Chief Operating Officer Adam Havey. Hartzel most recently served as Chief Commercial Officer for Woodstock Sterile Solutions.
