Fette Compacting, a provider of high-performance machines and solutions for pharmaceutical tablet production and capsule filling, is acquiring its distribution partner, EuroPharma Machinery Ltd., for the UK and Ireland, from the company’s founders, Geraint Llewelyn and Stuart Waterhouse.

Mr. Llewelyn remains managing director, and Mr. Waterhouse will continue to act as a consultant. The company in Bordon, East Hampshire will continue operating under the existing name. All jobs will be retained. The distribution partnership between EuroPharma and Bausch + Ströbel, a specialist machinery manufacturer for bottling and packaging systems, will be continued.

“The acquisition of EuroPharma strengthens our position in this important market and lays the foundation for further growth. We also look forward to continuing the successful collaboration with our Excellence United partner Bausch + Ströbel,” said Olaf J. Müller, chief executive officer of Fette Compacting.

EuroPharma founder Stuart Waterhouse added, “We have been working with Fette Compacting since we founded EuroPharma more than 30 years ago. The acquisition is the next step of our mutual success story and secures a long-term perspective for us.”

Geraint Llewelyn said, “The pharmaceutical industry is one of the growth drivers for the British economy. High-performance equipment from manufacturers such as Fette Compacting and Bausch + Ströbel is in high demand. Thanks to our long-standing, close customer relationships, we have an excellent starting position for further growth.”
