Fuji Chemical Industries USA has promoted of Yasuko Kuroda to president from her former role as vice president, effective April 1, 2018. Kuroda takes the position vacated by Charles DePrince, who has been positioned as chairman of the company.

Kuroda joined Fuji Japan in 1997. In that same year, she transferred to the US to establish its US headquarters. Fuji Chemical specializes in high-performance excipients such as Fujicalin®, Neusilin® and F-MELT®, as well as innovative spray drying solutions (open and closed) to industries in North and South America.

Kuroda is responsible for leading continued market penetration and growth of the company and its brands. She recently was assigned to oversee sales and marketing of Fuji Chemical’s products and services in Europe.

Kuroda said she is “honored and excited to accept the new role. I have been marketing Fuji’s excipients for 20 years. It is so wonderful to see the business grow every year. I see tremendous potential for our business and I look forward to leading the company with Mr. DePrince’s guidance.”
