Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing (GRAM), a sterile injectable contract manufacturer of biologics, small molecules, and vaccines, is expanding its syringe and cartridge capacity with a new 150,000 sq.-ft. syringe and cartridge filling center.

The new syringe and cartridge filling center will provide greater capacity for the industry’s growing biologics pipeline and the growth in advanced drug delivery systems for patient self-administration.

The new syringe and cartridge filling center, currently under construction, enhances capacity and is designed to hold up to four syringe/cartridge filling and inspection lines, complementing GRAM’s existing syringe and cartridge filling line.

Strategically positioned as part of GRAM’s extended Grand Rapids campus, the new center is adjacent to GRAM’s existing 200,000 sq.-ft. finishing and warehouse center. It brings the CDMO to five manufacturing facilities and more than 450,000 sq.-ft. of production space. GRAM estimates building construction will be complete in 2025, with new filling and inspection equipment installed in 2026.

“Demand for high-quality syringe and cartridge filling has never been greater, and we are thrilled to be able to add more capacity and meet more demand,” said Tom Ross, President and CEO of Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing. “Designing the filling center with space for future equipment positions us favorably to serve evolving client needs for years to come. We are enthusiastic about our growth and continue accepting RFPs for syringes, cartridges, and vial fill-finish using our established facilities.”
