HP Mile, Inc., a Syracuse-based label printing company, has acquired label converter Lauraville Packaging LLC, which is now a division of HP Mile. Lauraville brings product lines to HP’s in-house flexographic printing capabilities allowing the company to design, print and manufacture onpack labels, including multi-page encapsulated expanded content labels (ECLs), which can be used for both promotional and regulatory needs as inserts and onserts.

The transaction included all assets at the Lauraville Packaging manufacturing facilities in Geneva, NY and exclusive rights to the company’s processes, product lines and distribution chain. HP Mile has relocated all equipment and processes to its headquarters in Syracuse.

“Our agreement to acquire Lauraville Packaging represents another significant milestone in HP Mile’s strategy of strengthening our presence in regulated industries and growing our customer base in more promotional areas,” said Michael Brady, president, HP Mile. “Now there is a huge opportunity to expand our business and encapsulate booklets and leaflets. Most importantly, customers will benefit from all processes taking place under one roof, reducing lead times.”

James L. Mathewson, former owner of Lauraville Packaging and current business development consultant for HP Mile, said, “HP Mile’s established distribution platform in the pharmaceutical marketplace will allow Lauraville’s innovative extended text solutions to be sold directly to manufacturers and distributors who have an established need for onpack directions for use. Additionally, HP Mile’s experience working within regulated industries and its focus on quality control and adherence to GMPs will be a benefit to all of our customers, from regulated industries to advertising agencies.”
