Dr. Andrea Zobel has been named senior director, Clinical Trial Distribution (CTD) Operations at Marken. She will assume responsibility for all activities within the growing network of Marken-operated Clinical Trial Depots once they are completed and qualified for use and also manage the relationship with their affiliate depot network.

Dr. Zobel is a biochemist by training and spent her early career in drug development as an assistant professor at the Institute for Pharmacology, Freie Universitat Berlin then as Head of Preclinical Development at ActinoDrug Pharmaceuticals, Henningsdorf. Since 2004 she has worked for Parexel International in such roles as director Clinical Logistics Europe and head of Global Center of Excellence Clinical Trial Supply, building and running a business segment with annual revenues in excess of $50 million.

Dr. Zobel will be based in the new Marken Berlin office, which is scheduled to begin operation in 1Q12.
