Andrew Bulpin has been appointed head of the Process Solutions Business Unit at EMD Millipore. He will assume leadership effective May 14, 2012 and be based at the company’s U.S. headquarters in Massachusetts. Mr. Bulpin succeeds Jean-Paul Mangeolle, who is retiring from the company after 28 years. Mr. Bulpin previously served as head of Global Pharmaceutical Chemicals Solutions Sales.

“Andrew brings a wealth of leadership experience and an in-depth understanding of the life science markets,” noted Robert Yates, president of EMD Millipore. “With a continued focus on helping biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical manufacturers advance their molecules to market, Andrew has an unprecedented opportunity to evolve the Process Solutions business.”

Mr. Bulpin joined Millipore Corporation in 2006 as vice president for the Upstream Processing Business Unit and, in January 2012, assumed leadership of the Services and Solutions Business.  Following the company’s acquisition by Merck, he was appointed to his current position. Prior to EMD Millipore, he worked at Serologicals Corp. in a number of sales and marketing roles both in the U.S. and Europe.
