Nipro Pharma Corp., a CMO based in Osaka, Japan, began operations at a new 4,752m² facility dedicated to inspection and packaging at its Ise Plant in Mie prefecture, Japan. The new facility is in response to the increase of pharmaceuticals produced outside Japan and supplied to the Japanese market.
 
Nipro Pharma supplies inspection and packaging services for injection and oral dosage forms to foreign pharmaceutical companies entering into the Japanese market, including inspection and packaging of high potency injection, clinical trial materials, inkjet printing / laser marking on tablets, special packaging such as Al/Al blisters, lightproof blisters, andcombination product kit (e.g., combination of vial, pre-filled syringe and vial adaptor packed in a carton).
 
The company expects the new facilities, together with five other manufacturing sites in Japan and one in Vietnam, will contribute to a stable supply of pharmaceuticals in Japan.
