PCI Appoints Rockford GM

Peter Belden has been named general manager for the Rockford, IL-based facilities of Packaging Coordinators Inc (PCI). Entering his new role, Mr. Belden has more than 25 years of experience in the packaging industry. He most recently headed PCI’s operations in Hay-on-Wye, Wales in the UK. Before that, he was senior vice president of Sales and Marketing with offices at the Rockford location.

PCI operates nine facilities in Rockford, totaling more than 1,000,000 sq. ft. and employing more than 1,300 highly trained associates. The site supports pharma and biotech packaging services for clinical and commercial medicines, as well as medical device, and consumer healthcare products. The company added the Rockford facilities as part of its acquisition of AndersonBrecon Inc. from AmerisourceBergen Corporation in May of this year.

PCI recently announced substantial investment in the Rockford sites, including the addition of multiple new high speed blistering and bottling lines to support business growth. Other notable capital investments include the expansion of Cold Chain storage, bringing the company’s capacity at its Rockford facilities to over 1,000 pallet spaces of 2 Р8°C in support of its rapidly expanding business for biotech products and parenteral delivery forms.
