Pharma Tech Industries Adds Industry Vet to Executive Team

Pharma Tech Industries, a global provider of contract manufacturing and packaging solutions for pharmaceutical, medical device and wellness products, has appointed industry veteran Sam Ricchezza as its new Senior Managing Advisor, Commercial Operations.

“Sam’s professional background has given him a well-rounded view of the pharma and healthcare sectors, and the pertinent trends for CMOs to lean into and capitalize upon,” said Darrin Schellin, CEO of Pharma Tech Industries. “His strategic vision, leadership, and industry expertise will be instrumental in spurring PTI’s continued growth through data-driven business development and enhanced relationships with pharma brand owners in our target markets.”

Ricchezza is the latest addition to an executive team tasked with continuing the CMO’s recent growth trends.

Experience

Most recently, Ricchezza served as Senior Business Advisor/Chief Alliance Officer for Canada-based not-for-profit SPEC Labs Center for Advancement of Biomedical Innovation. Prior to that, he was Head of CDMO Business Unit Strategy and Market Insights for Emergent BioSolutions, where he was instrumental in identifying, directing and supporting business case design, technology scouting, and operational improvements for long-term value creation.

Earlier in his career, Ricchezza held a string of upwardly mobile roles, including President of North America Operations at Bora Pharmaceuticals, President of WellSpring Pharma Services, and Senior Business Advisor, Marketing and Sales Strategy for the Center for Commercialization of Regenerative Medicine.

Ricchezza holds several relevant industry certifications pertaining to management, strategic development and marketing. He is an Inbound Marketing Certified Professional for HubSpot, Inc., as well as a discussion moderator for the LinkedIn group “Strategic Account Management.”  He earned a BA in commerce and economics from the University of Toronto, in Canada.
