Pharmaceutics International, Inc. (Pii), a contract development manufacturing organization (CDMO) based in Hunt Valley, MD, is set to expand its commercial packaging capabilities. The expansion of more than 18,000 sq. ft. of converted warehouse space will be at the company’s Golden West facility. The new cGMP area will include three new high speed automated bottling and powder filling lines and four blister packaging production suites, with dedicated air handling. According to the company, the project, planned for June 2015, is a strategic decision in preparation for future commercial production of over 40 products pending FDA approval.
