Recipharm has completed the purchase of Kemwell’s pharmaceutical businesses located in Bengaluru, India. The deal expands Recipharma’s position in emerging markets and provides access to increased development operations both in scale and breadth of capabilities. The company reports it’s already working with customers with U.S. ANDA project pipelines.

As part of the transaction, Recipharm also adds U.S. FDA and EU approved highly efficient manufacturing options and further strengthens its synergistic business model by aligning Indian development and technology operations with the combined company’s manufacturing capabilities in India and Europe.
