Ricerca Biosciences has validated and implemented Watson Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for its bioanalysis division. The Watson LIMS system, designed specifically for the bioanalytical lab setting, electronically tracks shipments and samples and handles standard to complex protocols. The system is fully integrated with powerful data acquisition and processing capabilities and, according to the company, enables greater productivity in the lab and allows for accelerated lab turnaround times.

“This is a significant milestone for Ricerca’s bioanalytical division,” said Jim Szabo, D.V.M., Ph.D., DACVP, vice president, Biology Services. “With more than 10 LC/MS/MS instruments at our facility, it allows for increased efficiencies in sample analysis and data transfer. The end result is rapid turn around for our clients in a highly streamlined and accurate fashion. Additionally, the system is a cornerstone component in our impeccable quality control program with data being reported through the LIMS system and then verified by our quality team to ensure regulatory compliance.”

(IND to NDA) services including method development, rapid sample analysis, custom assay development, and metabolite identification.
