Sensient Pharmaceutical has extended its line of Microfine natural colors to provide a complete natural color coating system for the nutraceutical market. Microfine natural colors are an aluminum free natural color technology that delivers plating characteristics commonly found in FD&C lake pigments. According to the company, Microfine natural colors behave like a synthetic lake in multiple applications including powdered beverages and supplements, compound coatings, and compressed tablets. 
 
“Microfine broadens the range of natural colors that can be utilized in coating systems including those colors that can be more difficult to attain,” said Steve Strickland, general manager of Sensient Pharmaceutical.
