Venn Life Sciences has launched InnoVenn, a new innovation division set up to focus on co-development opportunities, particularly for medical devices. The goal of InnoVenn is to accelerate the commercialization of products in the later stages of development. Its first co-development initiative will be a joint venture with Cellulac Ltd. and Biopharmed West Ltd. to develop next generation biodegradable human implants to replace the widespread use of titanium in orthopedic surgery. Venn will provide clinical research services for the project. Venn has been expanding its operations throughout Europe, including the establishment of Venn Russia in February 2013, and an additional office in the UK, where Stewart Hulse has been appointed to serve as vice president of resourcing. Mr. Hulse has more than 15 years of clinical research and recruitment experience.
